This Christmas wasn't as horrible as it was supposed to be, I dunno why. Perhaps it was the fact that my brother wanted to have a Star Wars movie marathon. Maybe it was that they finally gave up about me driving to the city by myself, or maybe it was because I got everything I think I have ever wanted for the last couple of months. It is awesome. I remember now how I used to live with them. It was hard, it is hard to deal with them sometimes, but I love them and I deal with it. I just have to pretend I am someone less than myself when I am around them.

I feel like an aloof monarch ruling from behind the scenes among my family. It's difficult sometimes, but I deal. They pamper me, so at least that is nice. I realize now how spoiled I was... and it disgusts me now. Still, I don't complain. Oh no, I'm much more happy disgusted with myself than without a buck or two. It's the Long way.

Veronica, Andee -- I miss you guys more than I can convey in words, but I will be a big girl, Man the fuck Up, and come back a better person than I was before this break. That is the goal. That is the quest... and perhaps that is the capital of Assyria, I dunno. Do you know? I didn't think so. Absolutely loved Snow Crash, ladies. Y.T. is great, and Hiro is okay. He likes Japan, not to mention is knowledgeable about it, and so I can deal with him as -- as his last name says so plainly -- the Protagonist. I hit you guys up with some serious facebook pictures soon of all of this business. Thanks for blogging, though, ladies, you are saving my life with each and every post.

Tomorrow, I will set my feet down back in the soggy earth of the South, away from the hills I have come to love, and I will live in the land of Sweeny Todd for a while, until I return to my home.
